Asociaţia Geomorfologilor din România a aderat la IAG/AIG în anul 1997, fiind alături de alte 63 de asociaţii profesionale de geomorfologie din tot atâtea ţări.
With annual, occasionally biennial regularity, Romanian geomorphologists (both affiliated and non-affiliated with AGR) have gathered for symposia to discuss key issues regarding the relief of Romania, research concepts and methodologies, as well as challenges from other related fields impacting landforms. The list of symposia and the AGR leadership throughout the years is indicative of the tradition of these gatherings and the consolidation of the core community of geomorphology specialists.
